Volunteering

Centered on Community Values

The NC Triad is built on a culture of philanthropy and civic engagement. We care about our neighbors and our community – and we’re committed to giving back, whether through volunteering for local charities, schools, churches, synagogues and non-profits, or serving on advisory boards for local companies, events and community development organizations. Here, you’ll find many opportunities to pursue your passions and cultivate a greater sense of purpose and community outside of work.

Winston-Salem volunteer opportunities include animal rescue organizations like Stepping Stones Canine Rescue and Forsyth Humane Society, food banks like H.O.P.E. of Winston-Salem and Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC, or homeless shelters like Bethesda Center for the Homeless and Samaritan Ministries. All of these organizations seek not only monetary donations, but also a donation of time spent by local community members to help serve others.

In Greensboro, discover a range of volunteering opportunities based on your interests. Looking to volunteer your time to helping animals and the environment? Greensboro Science Center Conservation and Piedmont Land Conservancy both offer opportunities to improve the local environment for generations of wildlife to come. BackPack Beginnings delivers food, clothing and other necessities to children in need, while Mary’s House supports homeless women recovering from substance abuse in a safe environment. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Piedmont in Greensboro and High Point empowers kids and encourages them to succeed through a mentorship program.
